Bright Stars Competitive Team Mission Statement

Training Team
Invite Only
5 - 7 yrs
Gymnasts are invited to participate in our Training Team program based on their natural physical abilities and strength as well as their eagerness to learn and perfect skills. Gymnasts are invited to this program at the recommendation of their class coach. The goal of this developmental team is to prepare for one of our USAG competitive teams.
USAG: DP & Xcel Team Programs
Bright Stars Academy USA Gymnastics DP competitive program: Gymnasts begin competing compulsory with our Level 2 team. Opportunities include competing in local, state regional, national and international competitions. Our teams have enjoyed great success earning many first-place finishes in prestigious competitions throughout the US. Bright Stars has had numerous state, regional and national champion gymnasts!
The USAG XCEL Program is designed to offer broad-based, affordable competitive experience outside the traditional Junior Olympic program to attract and retain a diverse group of athletes. XCEL gymnasts have the opportunity to compete in great competitions in NJ and PA. The XCEL program will allow gymnasts to train fewer hours per week leaving time for other activities while still being part of a USAG program! XCEL is a program that is comparable in some ways to USAIGC, yet XCEL is overseen by USA Gymnastics.

Most Bright Stars gymnasts are invited to our developmental and competitive USAG team programs through our class program or All Star Team. Because of the structure and commitment involved, team placements are carefully considered to ensure the best fit for each athlete.
If your daughter is currently training with another team and you’re interested in a new opportunity, we’d be happy to schedule an evaluation. Please include your child’s name, age, current level, recent scores, and skill set in your inquiry.
