General Questions

  • Do you offer a trial class?

    Yes, We offer one trial class to each child for a $10 fee. The child’s trial should be for a class that is age appropriate or at the anticipated level he/she would be enrolling.   Our instructor will assess your child during the trial class and make a class/level recommendation.

    Trial classes are offered in any regularly scheduled class with two (2) or more openings. As a trial holds a spot in class for your child  we can schedule one no more than 48 hours in advance.  

     Not sure which class is the best fit for your child?  Schedule a trial class to allow your child to fully experience a class.

    Please note, due to the popularity of our swim classes  we do not offer trial classes within our swim program.

    A trial class is not required as many parents are confident in their class choice for their child.  You are welcome to enroll without scheduling a trial class.

    Your child is not automatically enrolled into the class through a trial. We recommend enrolling your child into class the same day as your trial to guarantee your child's spot in that class. If enrollment is not handled that day your child will be dropped from that class and the spot will open back up to the public for enrollment.




  • When should my child start class?

    Enrollment is ongoing.  You may enroll your child at anytime.  Tuition will be pro rated. 


  • What should my child wear for class?

    Gymnastics - girls should wear a leotard with hair pulled back (or comfortable clothing for younger children). Boys should wear shorts and a t-shirt.  Tutus and leotards with skirts are not permitted since it poses a safety risk when on the gymnastics equipment.


    Ninja Warrior - the Ninja Warrior uniform shirt is required, along with comfortable shorts/pants and the level coordinating wristband.


    Swimming - children should wear a swim suit and bring a towel. Goggles (except for Parent/tot classes) and swim caps (for children with hair longer than ear length) are required. Children 3 and a half and younger are required to wear one of the iPlay Ultimate or Happy Nappy Swim Diapers that we offer for sale.  


    Protective Layer Policy

    For the safety of everyone utilizing the pool, ALL CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 3 AND A HALF, even if they are potty trained, are REQUIRED to wear a protective layer during their swim class.

    The protective layer that Bright Stars requires is either the iPlay Ultimate Swim diaper- a cloth, non-disposable diaper- that can be purchased at our facility for $15.00 or the Happy Nappy- a neoprene, non-disposable diaper- that can be purchased at our facility for $15.00. (Disposable swim diapers are NOT PERMITTED.) Our washable, reusable swim diapers are amazing! Your child will surely find them to be comfortable.

    Please understand this policy will be strictly enforced for the health and safety of all of our members. Any type of accidents that may occur in the pool would require a complete shut down of our pool for up to 24 hours, causing many disappointed swimmers (and parents).

    Please understand, for the health and safety of our swimmers, WE NEVER make any exceptions to this policy.



  • Do you sell leotards, swim caps, goggles and swim diapers?

    Our pro shops offer a nice selection of high quality leotards, gymnastics shorts, swim diapers, swim caps, goggles and custom Bright Stars clothing.


  • Do you sell gift certificates/cards?

    Yes, we do offer gift certificates! You can either purchase online here or you can stop out in person to purchase a physical gift card ($25.00 or $50.00 denominations).

  • Which holidays is Bright Stars closed?


    Please note - Bright Stars serves many local school districts, so we do not align with any specific district calendar.


    For 2024, Bright Stars will be closed on the following dates:


    • Monday, September 2nd - Labor Day
    • Thursday, October 31st (closing at 2:00pm) - Halloween*
    • Thursday, November 28th - Thanksgiving*
    • Friday, November 29th & Saturday, November 30th - Thanksgiving Break
    • Tuesday, December 24th - Christmas Eve*
    • Wednesday, December 25th - Christmas Day*
    • Thursday, December 26th thru Wednesday, January 1st - Winter Break (Camps and Special Events will be held throughout the week)

    For 2025, Bright Stars will be closed on the following dates:

    • Wednesday, January 1st - last day of Winter Break
    • Monday, April 21st thru Saturday, April 26th - Spring Break (Camps and Special Events will be held throughout the week)
    • Monday, May 26th - Memorial Day*
    • Saturday, June 21st - Gym Show*
    • Monday, June 30th thru Saturday, July 5th - Summer Break

    We will also close at times due to inclement weather. We will email families as well as update our Social Medias if we choose to close.


    *Closings marked with an * are entitled to a make-up class.


    Please note that Bright Stars determines tuition fees based on 48 weeks of classes- make-ups are not offered for full week closings (Winter Break, Spring Break, Summer Break).


  • Winter Weather Policy

    A decision for all morning programs will be made by 7:30am. We typically make a decision for afternoon programs between 12:00 and 2:00pm. If we have a delayed opening or closure we post updates on Facebook, Instagram, our website and we will also send an email. If classes are missed due to inclement weather, students will be entitled to a make-up for the missed class.

    We realize  what may be smooth sailing for some, could be rough sledding for others. Please use good judgement based on road conditions, vehicle type and personal comfort when traveling in inclement weather. If Bright Stars is open and you are  uncomfortable driving we are happy to offer a make up class for your child.

Payments/Fees

  • Is there an annual membership fee?

    Yes, all children enrolled in class must have a current Annual Membership. The fee is $35 per child. Members receive a special gift during their Birthday Month, and a Bright Stars hoodie upon enrollment/renewal of their membership. We also offer sibling discounts and a multi-class discount for any child enrolled in more than one class.

  • How many classes does my tuition cover?

    Prices listed on the class schedule sheets and the website are based on a MONTHLY tuition. Your tuition for classes is not based on a number of classes, but on a period of time (monthly). In any given month there may be 3, 4, or 5 classes depending on how the day of the week falls, holidays, or weather events. Tuition will NOT be adjusted based on the number of classes in a given month.


    Students may enter our program at any time. The current month’s tuition will be pro-rated if necessary based on your child’s start date.


  • When can I enroll my child in class?

    Enrollment is ongoing. Children may enroll at anytime just as long as a spot is available in the class.





  • When is tuition due?

    Bright Stars operates on a perpetual enrollment basis. Perpetual enrollment means that your child’s spot in class is automatically reserved upon timely receipt of your monthly tuition payment.

    All tuition at Bright Stars is set up as automatic billing. Upon enrolling in a class, you will be asked to provide credit card information for automatic credit card billing. If you prefer to pay cash or a different credit card than the one you have on file payment must be received by the 24th of the month. Your payment will be automatically charged on the 25th of each month. For example; February tuition will be processed on January 25th.
